What This Means

This regulation requires importers to obtain a TYPE APPROVAL OF MEASURING INSTRUMENTS, MEASURING DEVICES, WEIGHING INSTRUMENTS, AND ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT before clearing goods through Indonesian customs.

As a post-border regulation, compliance is verified after the goods clear customs. The importer must meet these requirements before the products can be distributed in Indonesia.

An Importer of Record (IOR) with the proper licenses can handle this requirement on your behalf.
